Deeper into voice artistry.

Third week

CVAP’s certification is seriously cool and seriously serious in its craft – that is to hone any Filipino interested in voice artistry. Such delirious seriousness is also seen in the skills building exercises- and one which I have yet to do.

Among the list of SBXs (first week – eight; second week- six); I have only accomplished one- that is the introductory video which we were required to submit before the end of the second week training); hence I have 13 pending.

As to how to accomplish these pending SBX- I ponder on the structure of the program – it is well connected – clean and suave. Alor, I have to maintain true to the way CVAP handles their activities. But first, I need to clear my brand name. Thus, prior to the third day/third week lecture – upon request and checking with the records, Ms. Dines gave a green light to my brand – Shadow Voice.

Why Shadow Voice – I want to remain in the background – with my voice resonating out front.

With this breakthrough, I started to plan how to maneuver this – systematically and orderly.

3/4 of the program done

Looking back at what we learned for the past two weeks –internalizing and mastering Papa Lem’s lecture seems to be the heart of the CVAP program. It is where the real art lies. It is where the magic of voice will be developed and shared with others.

The third day/third week is important too – as on it, Mr. Brian Perez (Mr. Perez) discussed how to set up studio and Ms. Donnah discussed the dubbing process.

Mr. Perez’ lecture relates to the technicalities related to the studio set up. I find it very informative. On the other hand, Ms. Donnah’s lecture showed us the actual work in the dubbing process. Now- that is something for the books-.

Ms. Donnah also infused a practical aspect as she required us to do voices for select characters. Doing voices alone is fun and listening to all participants doing their share to copy the voices is great.

Among the choices she gave were that of Liam Neeson in Taken, Leonardo DiCaprio in Catch me if you can, as well as other choices including Jodi Sta. Maria in Pangako sa Yo, Judee Ann Santos and Toni Gonzaga.

With my low tone and pitch – I had to take the Liam Neeson in Taken. It was fun doing it.

And then there came our compliance requirement on the Zoomarte concept. In this activity, we were required to bring to life a skit – prepared by the BRs. I again, had fun doing it.

New things learned – younger generations do Canva – and put it to good use. So why not, I should also learn Canva – another thing to add to the items I can learn this 2025.

I am on the CVAP final stretch – so I need to speed up on my SBX compliance – and while doing it – I should not forget to have fun – because life is all about fun fun fun

So, what is in store for me next week – full compliance with all the activities – plus an experience on learning voice acting with CVAP.

I look forward to closing another chapter and moving forward to the next —.
